Gmail Notifier Gmail Maniacsさん経由で、ようやく"Gmail Notifier for Mac OS X"がダウンロード可能となった事を知りました。

I'm a Mac user. Most of my friends are Mac users. After a little coaxing, most of my family are now Mac users. So I decided to spend 20% of my time here on a small application that may help all of the Mac users in my life: a Gmail Notifier for Mac OS X.

早速ダウンロードしてみました。

Gmail Notifierメニューバーアイコン "GmailNotifier.dmg"と言うイメージファイル形式で、257KB程のサイズ。これをダブルクリックしてマウントしたイメージファイルからドラッグ&ドロップでコピーするだけでインストールは完了です。 ソフトを起動させるとメニューバーにアイコンが表示され、横に未読件数が表示されます。クリックすると、未読メールの件名と差出人を見る事が可能。また、メールボックス(INBOX)を開いたり、メール作成画面を開いたりする事が可能。

今までは"GmailStatus"と言うソフトを利用していたのですが、機能的には上回っていますね。ただ、デザインは"GmailStatus"の方がMacOS Xにマッチしてていいですね。正直、"Gmail Notifier"はデザインがださいです。
